I mentioned Todd Bentley during a recent Bible Study at the church where I serve as senior pastor. Quite naturally, he was mentioned during a discussion of what sin and indulgence of the flesh have produced in church leadership. I believe that people are so desirous of an “experience” with God, that they will actually listen and even submit to this kind of heretical foolishness.
For those haven’t seen clips or heard of Mr. Bentley view the above clip. A couple of warnings. First, he is violent, vulgar, and nonsensical. Second, for all of the above reasons the shelf life of this clip will be short.

That clip made me ill. This man needs to seriously question a spirit that says to kick someone in the face, etc. The part that made me the saddest, however, was the fact that the people in the “congregation” sat there chuckling and didn’t up and leave. In seeking to know God more fully, we need to have the discernment to separate truth from heresy, and go with the Author of the truth. God, help us to discern the lies a mile away and run the other way if this junk comes our way…
This is foolishness. I agree with Evelyn we must carefully listen and hear what is being preached or taught to us that we may discern the Truth. As I was watching the video I immediately thought of Ephesians 5:4 Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving.
Please read/study the Word for yourself, watch and pray that you will not fall for foolishness.
Peace.
Thank God for Wise Leadership ! Certain people immediately come to our minds with the mention of the word fool.
Our Lord did not condemn the assessment of a person’s character, but the assassination of one’s character. That’s another story …
Colossians 2:4-8
Now this I say lest anyone should deceive you with persuasive words.
Col 2:5 For though I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good order and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ.
Col 2:6 As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him,
Col 2:7 rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.
Col 2:8 Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.
False philosophies come in all sorts, sizes, shapes, and colors and we are in no short supply of them today. And regardless of nature, they all have their negative impact on the believer’s walk in Christ if he or she is not careful both to watch for them and to recognize them for what they are—deceivers, distorters.
“The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.”
